Does anyone have any idea how to convert VHS into DVD?? My grandad wants to do this, apparently VHS die over years....

You can pick up a converter that you use with your pc for around £50 or you can get a VHS DVD player combo, the latter is quite a bit more expensive though.... You can also send them off and get them done but I think it's around a fiver per vhs

Converter is the easy part, but how do you connect it all???

buy one of these Diamond Video Capture VC500 about £25
plug vhs player in one end, plug the other end in your pc and it converts tapes to a format you can burn to DVD, Easy

Can you explain what cables do I need to connect PC to vhs player?

Thank you, makes so much sense... I`ve got another question, I`ve seen few of those cables with software and their prices vary greatly, is there any difference in performance or quality between them? I mean does the actual quality of recorded on DVD vary? Or is it just price for easy use?

You can grab a cheap USB capture card that does 480p for under £8. That will work fine for your use.

You mean something as "EasyCAP USB 2.0 Video And Audio Capture Card" ?
