Hi all,

I have watercooled my 3 290's and I have wondered about reducing them to a single PCI-E slot to give me some slots back for a sound card and possibly a 4th card in the future.

I have found someone who has done GTX780's and Titans, but the brackets are the wrong measurements for the 290.

So my questions are

1) Has anyone done this here?
2) If so how did you go about it?
3) If not do you have any ideas on where to start?

I have some information on removing the DVI port and I was thinking about cutting the bracket in half.

Thanks for reading,

I know it's not really something you'd want to do, but could you trim your standard backplate down to be single height? Is that even possible? As most of today's cards have twin DVI ports one on top of the other don't they?

Well it was pretty simple, I broke one pair of cutters, aside from that I made a lot of mess and need to tidy up the back plate.

I'll post some pics if anyone is interested.
