convert jpg files

I need to convert 400mb of jpg pics and email them over gmail, but because of the size limit when sending, I am looking for ways of either converting the pics to a smaller size without losing quality and/or another way to email these.

help pls

I think you'll struggle to hit the size limit for an email. Can't you use a file-sharing website?

You'll have a very hard time doing that. Does it *have* to be emailed? I would try to use dropbox or another image sharing website.

How about just RAR'ing them into 8 x 50MB files or whatever the limit is on the email and send one file at a time.

Or Dropbox is also good for sending big files.

Or if you you just want them to view the files and have google+ you could upload them to a private folder on google+ and email the link.

What size are the images at the moment, and what size would be acceptable to the recipient? If you have a small number of enourmous images and only need 1024x768, then dropping the size will help.

However as pointed out above - you won't be able to compress them to any significant amount - jpg files are already heavily compressed.
