I know the conversion isn't 100% accurate, but how can I convert velocity (metres/second) into volume (metres³/hour)???

say my speed is 5M/s and the duct size is 0.4X0.4M

My google fu is weak today :(

Do you mean air passing through the duct at 5m/s? and you want the volume of air passing through a given cross section per hour?

At a guess, every second you have 5*0.4*0.4 metres^3 of air moving through your little cross sectional area. So multiply up by 3600 i suppose and you'll have metres^3/hour.

Will give something like 2880 m^3/h
