Still need to get to the bottom of this.
I need to deploy both Win 10 and Office 2016 on the network.
I've done this before in my previous company for Office 2013. I downloaded the Key Management service host and installed it on the kms using the GVLK key.
In my new company on their Volume license Center I can see the same for Office 2016. So that should be fine.
However the keys still say MAK.

Windows 10 on the other hand, I cant see any Key Management service host download and the keys are indeed MAK a well.
I understand from
this website that I can use the GVLK key and register it on the KMS server. But there is no Key Management Service host in our VLC to download.
There are instruction on here how to register the GVLK key on the KMS. So I dont know what the Key Management Service host download is on the VLC. Maybe it just applies to Office.
Also how will the Office 2016 clients know to activate against the KMS server?
Oh and just to complicate things further, the KMS host we currently have is a Win 7 Enterprise VM.
At the bottom of
this page, it goes on to say you cant activate of Windows 10 if you are running a KMS host on any of the following operating systems:
Windows Vista
Windows Server 2008
Windows Server 2003
I wonder if that includes Win 7.
