I need to convert a .mpg file in to a .avi anyone recommend any good software?
Just imported video from my old camcorder, and its in mpg, i prefer .avi as i m planning on creating a small video and Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 .... just doesn't work with mpg format
Done some searching in Google and used download.com... i just get mickey mouse software that either is limited to 2 minutes video conversion a time, or crashes at the sight of a 2 + gig mpg file.
Any help/ideas appreciated

really quick and efficient, didn't take long to figure out how to use it either
