Got a friend with an old mac and he is about to move to vista and office 2007. Is there a way or a tool so that he can open all his old mac stuff on his new pc?

Free would be nice but not a problem to pay for if need be :)

cheers

Yeah OS X can do that sometimes...

What do you mean by "old Mac stuff"? That's a very vauge explanation :p My guess is that if they don't have an extension they're maybe .rtf files? Or pehaps .txt files?

Either way try opening them up in Word (just select from the list of program options that should pop up) and hopefully they should display fine. Then just resave them as the corrent file format :)

They are not recognised at all by windows and all come up funny symbols and squares when forced to open with office.

The mac in question is about 8 or 9 years old. Not sure of the specs or what version of anything its running....however :)

I have now found a program that has sorted it all out for me :)
