Far far away....
My wife has fetched home tonight a video that she has made in work to help train her staff.

I have a folder with, Video_TS with lots of files in.

I need to convert it to a format that will play in Windows Media player. Ideally the software should be free as this is a one off.

There is no copyright issue her as this is for the compant that my wife works for.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as I have no idea what software I need or how to do it!

Try downloading Super, a freeware conversion utility. It will convert pretty much anything into anything.

Its not the conversion as such that is causing the problems it is the fact that I have multiple vob fils and I seem to be having to process them all individually.

I want to convert all the vob files at once as one, and have them in one single file so it can be distributed.

if they're multiple vobs, then it 'should' have an ifo file in there too..

install autogk and that'll let you convert it to xvid (avi) as one full file -select the first vob or the ifo file and it should do it properly..

then use an avi to wmv conveter (windows movie maker can do this)

-actually, try opening the ifo in windows movie maker straight off

I will give it a bash and report back !!

if you've got them as single avi's you could import them all into windows movie maker and export/save as one long movie, should be no gaps in the playback

can you list the filenames in the directory you have mate, having the first vob (usually tiny in size) or the ifo file should help..
