Convert W10 licence from my account to the device itself

A few years ago I bought a Linx 1010B tablet laptop thing that came with Windows 10 preinstalled. I have since done a re-install a couple of times and I am looking to sell the laptop on, with Windows 10 installed and activated. I am currently signed in with my MS account in Windows 10. On the activation page it says "Windows is activated with a digital licence linked to your Microsoft Account".

Now I feel this is a bit cheeky as the device now doesn't have a licence, it is linked to me?. Now I want to sell the tablet I I am not sure if there is a way to convert the licence back to the device. Does anyone know if there is way to do this?

Delete the device from your Microsoft account and don't log back in.

For a device that that the key may well be stored in the bios and therefore when a new person logs in it will attach to their account.
