Convert your 406 into a Ferrari

Whilst it does look like a top job, you're talking a minimum of £6000, plus the cost of the doner car. So that's what, 10 grand? Stuff that, rather than going for Ferrari looks, you can get close to Ferrari performance for that amount.

It looks cool. But you will get laughed at as soona s people find out its not (wouldent take long)! a lot of money for something that looks pretty. Not worth it! Spend your money on something fast and fun which looks ok!

if you dig around a bit on that site, they are planning a twin 3L engine 4WD version, if you over £40K to spend on a kit, that should be fairly quick. Still, not for me though.

If you do, make sure you get a 406 coupe, as that's what the kit is based on, not your familiar 406 diesel taxi...

The 406 coupe came with an HDI engine so he is correct we could see some 360 oil burners.

It did and we could I suppose, but I reckon most of the kits will be bolted around the 3L V6, there older and cheaper anyway.

yea, unless they can make it go stop and turn like one, oh and most important sound like one, no thanks. No offence if you like it. Just not what its about for me. Why pretend to be something you not. Far to much embarrisment when people realise how pathetic you are posing in a 406GTRTURBOVTSRRLightning.

It looks great:)

But.....

I think the 406 coupe is a rare enough car as it is, and stunning, and sexeh, when i see one on the road, it makes my turn my head! And i am sure a nicely modifyed 406 coupe would look even more stunning (not ferrari kit!).

Anyway, wasnt the 406 "pininfarina" styled anyway? Aint that the same company that does the ferrrai?

I would be happy to have a bog standard 406 coupe over my mondeo anyday :D

ye it looks good, one of the better conversions, but the 406 is an amazing looking car itself, also styled by pininfarina, rather save myself the money thanks :D

Replace that peugeot badge with a ferarri one and you're sorted for your interior :)
