Right,

I was doing a machine for a friend of mine,

Basically he wanted his information from his C drive of his old machine onto his new PC

I didnt have a USB to IDE / SATA cable at the time, So i just plugged the drive direct into the board via IDE cable,

I then changed the drive in the Disk managment to allow me to get into the drive and take information from it,

Now he wants the drive back in his old machine, I tryed to reboot with the old drive back in his machine and it blue screens before it gets into windows.

Please pleaseeeee

Help me

twiddling with it in Disk Management won't have changed the Filesystem.
what it will have done is knackered the MBR which is why windows is bluescreening.

try running a repair install on the HDD from inside his machine "fixmbr" is what you want i think.

Use bootable partition software to re-mark the partition as you want it. For example - Acronis Disk Director.

Use a Windows XP CD recovery console and perform a FIXMBR. You cannot convert it back to FAT32.
