Ok, this is only something that I am wondering about really.

Basically, I have Half Life , HL2, CS, etc etc etc etc on STEAM.

I also have all the WH40K DoW games, DOW, Winter Assault, Dark CRusade, SoulStorm, including the extras and also DOWII, but these are NOT on my STEAM Account, however they are available on STEAM.

Is there any way to add them to my account?

Dawn of War II you can add the key to your Steam account and it downloads as though you bought it on Steam.

Nothing you can do about the others though.

You can add your other games as 'non steam games' and steam will detect that your playing a game and allow you to use the game overlay function just the same.

What about COH?
Getting updates from Steam would be 100 times better then that relic ****

It's a shame you can't add more games onto Steam but I'm sure eventually it will.

I always wondered why some people hate Steam, I think it's pretty decent.

COH and UT3 I also have.

I did try adding the key for DOW original some time ago but asll Iwas able to do was add it to the NON-steam list.

So thats still going to be the same then? - shame.

UT3 and DOW2 though?

Cool.

Just as a thought on the UT3 side of things... but, its one of the games I have, that we play on the LAN. I have 7 copies ( yes legal ) so, while it seems that I can add a copy to my steam account, how can I do the others?

Can I create a new steam acount and just add one copy of UT to it?
or Can I add all of them to the one account?
Or shall I jsut leave it as is?

The thing is, that I have recently reinstalled all my LAN PCs andcoule I remember the user names and passwords for them? Could I buggery, and the piece of paper that I written them donw on was AWOL and it took me ages to get them all sorted.

One steam account would sort me out Id have thought.

Or would it? Id have to remember the Steam account data too! - OFFS!

Ok, I will have a play now then and see what happens ok? Cheers all.

Oh, well that was bloody easy!

I just started up steam, and had a look at my games and DOW2 is already there and done at 100%

I then added a game and I put in my UT3 code and it accepted it straight away and said its permanently associated with my steam account now.

Great, but Permanently ? - bugger.

LOL

Only thing I was piddled off with, is that I have it fully installed and Im almost finished it for the 25434534579th time and the last thing I want is for it to no longer work.

It did that with DOW only last week cos it would not log in to XLIVE or whatever and I had to reset my password ( The very same password as it was and the very same password that I have always used for all my games since I first had a PC , but it still would not let me back in )

Ah well... Maybe Steam will keep tabs on it I sont know, but its 2 that are done so thanks guys.

While I hate the relic patcher, for small patches steam is a big nono for CoH. Whereas the patches are usually very small downloads because they are compressed, and they can just alter part of the game files, for whatever reason this doesn't happen with steam, instead it just redownloads all of the patched files, which can often be several Gb.

Also, List of CD Keys that can be added to steam.
