Converting a load of wrod documents to HTML

Hi,

I'm a complete n00b when it comes to HTML, web pages etc.

I've got a whole load of word documents that together when printed out form a manual. Ideally I want to put this on our intranet with hyperlinks from the index to the various sections of the manual so staff can print off relevant froms etc.

I thought about simply making one big word document then converting to HTML then manually going through the sections to create the links. Any idea of the best way to go about this?
