Converting a video from .dv to .avi

Does anyone know how any decent programs to convert a video from .dv (made by imovie) to avi for use in cs4 premiere, i've tryed a few but all have been utter rubbish.

Any help much appreciated

You on the PC or the Mac? [EDIT iMovie suggests you start on the Mac at least!]

Managed to sort problem, turns out movie maker can open .dv I was convinced it wouldn't...
