Converting between displayport and dvi

Hi chaps,

I have a PC, a PS3 and an Xbox 360.

For the Xbox 360 I have a VGA cable. For the PS3 I have a HDMI to DVI cable. For the PC, I have a DVI cable. My graphics card is dual DVI out and has no Displayport.

If I was to buy a Dell U2312HM, how could I connect all three of these devices conveniently?

Can I easily convert the DVI output of my PC to Displayport? What about converting the DVI end of the PS3 cable to Displayport?

What about a DVI switching box. These seem to be available from just £10 upwards and accept 2 DVI inputs and output one DVI output. You then press a switch to swap between them. This would work - are they any good? They range from £10 to over £100!

99% of the time it'll be with the PC. I don't use the PS3 a huge amount.

I've not used a switching box but in principal they should work fine.

As the signal is digital it should just work or not work so I'm not sure what a £100 one gets you over a £10 one.

If you're going to be using the PC most of the time then you probably don't need something fancy just something that does the job.

Hopefully someone who's used one can let you have their thoughts.

Edit:

If you buy one make sure it's 2 inputs/1 output not 1 input/2 outputs.
