What I'd like to know is how I can house what I've currently got into a SFF.

What will i need to replace, and how much should I be spending second hand.

Currently got
- Abit NF7S 2.0 mobo
- XP2400 Mobile
- Radeon 9800 Pro GFX
- 512MB PC3200 (2x256mb)
- IDE 200GB drive
- Antec 350W PSU

Thanks

A SFF Case and a mATX board that takes mobile processor.

You could upgrade board/cpu/ram/graphics for very little now.

Could you recommend a motherboard, or at least a manufacturer.

same goes for the case. As all i've heard of is Shuttle.

and how much should i be looking to spend.

well motherboards, the only one i could think off was an ASROCK K7S41GX. clicky clicky they can still be picked up brand new for not much money in the first place ( about £30 to £40 ).

cases are a different matter, as it's all down to personal preference, what i think looks good others might hate etc. but, if your on a tight budget then theres the A+Case Blockbuster BAW MicroATX, which can be picked up for the £30 to £40 mark. or you can go for some thing like a Silverstone SG-01 Evolution MicroATX Case which is gonna be around double that price if you want push the boat out.

Is SFF ie to my mind shuttle sized, essential, you can get media pc cases or various sizes including low profile that would take you existing kit. Silverstone etc

Biostar IDEQ SFF cases are avilable for xp processors (reduced prices or 2nd hand) not sure about mobile though
