Converting from 360 to PS3...

im a current ps3 and former xbox owner and other then the odd game like forza that id like thats 360 only and blu-ray is one of the reasons i prefer ps3.

also as said multiple times above i feel the bluray remote is an essential if you want a better home cinema experience as the controller is ok but the remote is definatly worth the cash.

the only downside if you have more friends with a 360 but theres a thread somewhere with people on heres psn names.

have you thought about scrapping the dvd recorder and getting a V+/sky+ box instead and getting a ps3 also (possibly keep the 360 and have both consoles)?

Another vote for the BD remote. I can't stand using the controller for anything but games. With PlayTV even more so.

As for the whole 360 vs PS3 argument.... Both have benefits that make them worth having separately. You're not getting a better deal picking one over the other. No matter which you have, you'll always miss out on something if you don't have both imo.

I made the wise decision of getting a PS3 to compliment my 360.

For a good 6 weeks it's been my only platform. Uncharted, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, Demon's Souls, FF XIII, LBP, Flower; all really great but now I've found myself back on the 360. The PS3 is a fantastic bit of kit and beats the 360 in many ways but the 360 is this generations 'games machine'. ... imo...

Out of curiousity... I downloaded/bought a game from the PS3 Store... Is that locked to my account?

As in, if I sell my PS3 and wipe the name etc off it, will the game be gone forever? (unless someone uses my account?)

i have both, my 360 is always on my ps3 is only on for blurays.
i find the 360 a lot more social and just gerneally nicer, with some great exclusives. but if your not interested in a console for games then sure get a ps3, but to be honest you might as well just pick up a standalone bluray player if thats all you really need from a device.
