Converting OST to PST

Hey guys.

I did a backup of some Emails for an old boss which have saved to an OST file. although he wants to open them so he can read etc in his outlook 2007. Im guessing these will need converting to PST?

Anyone successfully done this.

Not done it, i would have just exported the mailbox to PST in the first place.

This is what I did. But he was at his house so im guessing it took the OST and not the PST.

I saw this site too, thanks rossi.

So in theory is I change:

mail> email accounts> change>more settings>advanced>offline folder file settings..> and the location to the new OST, wont this do the trick?

I couldnt find a way of doing it via standard methods, had to use a paid-for tool in the end.

You need a RecoveryFix for OST software, this software will solve your problem.

unless you still have the mailbox in exchange (in which case do a New-MailboxRequest -Mailbox %user% -FilePath [location to save file] ) and your stuck with only the .ost, your going to have to pay for a recovery tool.

I has to do the same only last month.
