Converting pictures into a nice CD presentation

I've got 100's of pics of students/visits that I've been asked to turn into a good presentation CD.
I have the photos in seperate folders so it would be nice to be able to place into DVD/PC, choose the folder and off you go with a slideshow.

Any suggestions?
