Converting to dvd

Im currently using DVDSANTA to convert my avi files to dvd format but it seems to lose a lot of quality in the conversion.,

What does everybody else use to convert there files?

I usually get my Nero 7 to do the business.

I use DVDSanta, i just do PAL/Medium/Full Screen, looks perfect to me, hardly tell the difference between that and high quality.

Winavi for me too.
Does that good a job I bought it for £16 because I felt guilty.

Cinema Craft Encoder is the best encoder, in my humble opinion. Yes, it takes far longer to encode DVD than Nerovision Express etc., but the quality is far higher.
