never tried it before but I'll be placing one on my gpu and thus I'll have to remove my vortexx neo.

depending on the cooler and contact do you think I'd need to get the zalman ram heatsinks to if the cooler will only cover the gpu chip?

if so I guess I'd have to drain out the system everytime I want to play about/move something?

It all depends on the gpu. are u going to connect the watercooling to ur cpu as well?

One of the main advantages of a universal gpu block is you DON'T have to drain the loop.
just unbolt>remove card>add new card>bolt on block.

Even easier with quick connectors as you can swap the block over outside the case without draining loop.

Full cover blocks are a completely different issue but QC's can help.

Ran sinks only really needed with low case airflow or oc'ed ram

Full cover VGA blocks are different for every new card so work out very expensive unlike a cpu block. You can get universal gpu blocks and this seems much more sensible and cost effective. You can get Swiftech ones like this
