Converting to Watercooling

Hi,

I'm looking to convert my current build which is a single processor - single gpu (2600k & GTX 580) in a NZXT Phantom to watercooling. The main goal being noise reduction and hopefully a drop in temperature.

The major issue for me is the amount and type of components required for this, I've never done watercooling before, and the last thing I want is to order incompatible stuff or miss out something important.

I was looking at some of the prewatercooled cases Overclockers supplies and I wouldn't be averse to getting one, because I've fallen out of love with the NZXT a little.

I'm right in thinking that the prebuilt cases only cool the CPU? If so, what do I need to add to the mix to extend them to cool my 580 as well.
I did find the EK GTX580 Waterblock on the guides but it looks like OC isn't stocking them at the moment.

The alternative is to stick with my current case and to get one of the Overclockers watercooling kits, so my second question is which of these kits fits my needs the most (and what extras I'd need)

I'll appreciate any advice you can give me and I'm looking forward to putting this together.

In regards to your first question, you'd simply need a 580 block and two extra connectors which are - EK-PSC Fitting 10mm - G1/4 Nickel (6 pcs) - if you want to get the same as the kit you linked too.

In regards to watercooling your current case, it says that it supports
– Phantom’s extensive cooling capabilities include 7 fan cooling options with dual 200mm, single 230/200mm, triple 120mm, and front 140mm fan options.
- NZXT includes dual radiator support, quad watercooling cutouts, and an integrated fan controller with up to five 20W channels.

So i'd imagine it shouldn't be too hard to fit a custom kit?

Excellent, thanks :D I've sent a quick query in to Overclockers about one of the kits but if it's as simple as those connectors and getting a GPU block from another vendor I'll most likely go for it!

You may need some more tubing depending on how OcUK do their kits but as you have contacted them already i'm sure they will be able to advise you ;)
