Converting to widescreen!

I've currently got a 20" Silicon Graphics CRT monitor. I've been thinking about changing to TFT for a long time! Now I have the money I'm not sure if I should stick with 4:3 or change to 16:9!!

I'd appreciate it if some kind souls could tell me about their 16:9 experiences in the hope it may ease my pain lol.

16:10 is fantastic, there are no disadvantages as far as I am aware except that some old games don't use the full screen.

IMO it's not worth having a widescreen below a 1680x1050 res, if you get that or above, it's a pretty sweet investment. (Aside from the game issue, but it won't matter too much now)

BTW it is 16:10 like Kreee mentioned so you will still get slight borders in DVDs!
