OK, parents are out and I've never really cooked anything other than a bit of spaghetti bolognese! Anyway, I raided the freezer and found some bacon chops, had them before and they're nice, but a bit salty. To go with it I'm going to do some sautee potatoes.
The plan:
Sound like a plan? Only worry is that the potatoes are normal roasting ones...
The plan:
- Defrost the bacon in cold water for ~1Hr (any ideas on how to do it quicker?)
- Stick the potatoes in a pan and boil them for about 5 mins
- Pour the boiling water into a pan and steam the potatoes for another 5 mins
- Put the bacon on a hot skillet with some oil- do about 5 mins a side
- After the first side is done, add the potatoes to the skillet so they should both have about 5 mins
