Rightio,

As posted in the steak thread this will be my sunday dinner meat cooking thread. The meat is my part and rest is the GF just going to post the meat and then the finished product.

Also as this hasn't been finalised I am looking for ideas/debate on what should served with the Sunday dinner.

The meat is a 2 rolled rib of beef which was £18/kg

Also a quick pic of what the butcher threw in for the puppy.

Will update later in the week.

I'd be roughly chopping lots of onion, carrots, leeks, celery and garlic (whole unpeeled cloves) in the bottom of the roasting tray and the meat on top for the gravy from the juices. Also use a splash of red wine when making the gravy.

This although I don't put leaks in. But will have to try it.

Saying that braised leeks are awesome with a roast.

Seriously i've never had them, in my 21 years i've eaten a lot of things. but no sweet potatoes :(

Maybe i'll get some at the weekend and have myself a mini roast.
