Cool Android Gaming Tablet

Looks similar to the archos gamepad. All this really offers over a Nexus 7 is the built in controls and of course video out. Video out could be pretty important I suppose but as a hand held it doesn't really matter. I'd be willing to wager that a N7 would perform just as well on most of these emulators and as it gets the the latest android before everyone else that's a big plus for me. Also lack of memory card slot is poor and resolution is average. How much do these sell for? I'd probably go for an archos gamepad if I wanted built in controls, I think they'd provide better support.

I thought about getting the Archos but most people seem to think this is the better option. Nicer buttons, build quality. Apparently the third party support it good and the emulators seem to run really well once you get rid of the stock programs.

My main requirement is physical controls and tv out so this looks good to me!

They're cheap to at around £95.

Actually having read a few archos gamepad reviews just then it seems to get fairly heavily slated. My issue with this is that I can't imagine it ever getting any more updates as the company simply wont care. This could lead to app compatibility issues in the future.

I don't know much about how all the software works but it is my understanding that the official software is no good and I believe there is unofficial software roms out there. I'm not fussed about updates, just as long as it all works im happy with outdated software. I think :)

I'll have to have a proper look when I get on my comp. Not allowed to discuss emu's on here btw, well no detail I don't think haha. I do kinda want to play sonic and knux 3 again. Have to try ps3 control on nexus 7.

Depends whether rockstar made it compatible or not. There's probably a list of compatible devices on the net some where.

I think you can get apps/hacks/whatever for pretty much android device to trick the play store into thinking it's a certain device, IE a nexus device so anything would be compatible.

I didn't know that, quite handy to know.
