If there was ever a film that deserved a really really good game adaptation, its Bladerunner.

A few years spent making a truly awesome game.

Some v. cool screenshots... shame that kinda quality persistant through the game is a way off yet.

I agree, although I think what was 'wrong' with the original Crysis was that they went for outright scene complexity over art direction, which in a way seems like a waste of such a capable game engine. I'd say many games 'look' nicer than Crysis, despite being clearly technically inferior, simply due to the kind of generic 'sea of trees' jungle and loads of nasty looking (albeit amazingly rendered and physically simulated) shacks. Although apparently Crysis 2 is based in New York, so maybe we'll see a few scenes with that sort of art direction in them. It'd be nice at least.

Stalker is similiar in that regard... nice engine (capabilities wise - tho a bit shoddy programming wise) let down by poor art direction and just trying to dazzle with shaders and complexity.

wow, thanks for sharing this. Blade runner (directors cut) is one of my favourite films ever, it was way ahead of its time. The 1997 game was pretty damn good too from memory with its multiple endings.

Also while I am Legend was a so so film i think the premise could port well to a computer game. The visuals on cryengine 2 are superb!
