I don't know how many music producers we have here on these forums, but i thought i'd share this for those who haven't seen it.
In Reason the screen is laid out exactly like what real production hardware would look like so it's in a rack similar to server racks, but only its different devices like Synthesizers, Samplers and Special FX Units.
Here's the hardware rack.

So you add your hardware to the rack. You can see i've added drum sampler called Kong in there.
Now the magic part.
When you press TAB it flips the hardware unit round to the back and allows you to wire it up any way you want to get different results.

Imagine we could create applications that connected to one another like this video:

So that's pretty cool right?
Is anyone here creative enough to come up with some ideas for uses of software if it could work in this way?
