HI,

Looking to build a new pc, fairly high spec required as I do a lot of multitasking and cpu intensive apps. No gaming.

I don't upgrade very often so I prefer to go for the best at the time. My worry is that the i7 will not run quiet or cool. Can anyone advise if there is a way of doing so? Any recommendations appreciated :)

cpu cooler, but what about quiet case, quiet psu? id rather not get a huge blingy case if i can help it but i do use a lot of hdds, need to fit 6. was thinking of using an icy box internal 3 bay 5.25-3.5 cage.

Thanks :)

I've got i7 920 with stock intel cooler. Runs very cool even after 48hrs stress test.
Can get to 4GHz on this cooler too.

I wouldnt have any worrry's about noise or heat with this the i7's, they are off a smaller die and run with lower power => less heat => less noise.
