Haha! Its not like there was much effort in the timelapse either!! ;) It was very impressive, do you think the images were cropped to achieve the cool slow panning effect? Must be an easier solution than a rig to shift the cameras position? Very nicely done :)

Stunning work and fantastic images utterly ruined by the ear poisonous and totally gash tune overlayed on them.

Music is a personal thing, and I think it's Coldplay, I could be wrong, but they're also very marmite :D

I just loved the quality of the photos and the very slick editing to sync with the music. You don't see that many things with that much effort put into them these days, sadly. Well, unless it's an advert on TV!

Yeah indeed it is a personal thing.
The photographic work is indeed stunning though and I hope the guys get the credit he deserves.

Interesting. Would running each image through a stage of 'perspective/warp' change the effect / make it more convincing ?

I've been dabbling a bit in this recently, my process so far has been

D2 - intervalometer basic jpegs
ACR bit of touchup, sharpness etc
Mpegstreamclip to a mov file.

That's pretty cool, what sort of software is needed to edit a timelapse?

Any video editing software really.

The panning is real because the perspective changes. It's just a relatively simple/straightforward Glidetrack or other slider with an automatic add-on. Set it to move the length of the rail over x hours and there you have it.

Music is of course Coldplay, can't remember which mix it is....
And having a cool setup in these cases really can help
