Hey,

Having a bit of a nightmare here. I just finished building my first loop (took 3 nights :D )

I just filled the reservoir for the first time When i switched the pump on to flow it into the system, nothing happens. The pump powers up as I can hear it. But the fluid isn't flowing into the system.

Koolance RP-401X2 Single 5.25 Reservoir for 1-2 PMP-400 Pumps
XSPC / Laing DDC-1T Plus Ultra 3.2 (18W) - MOTOR ONLY

The motor is installed inside the Koolance, and I removed the plug on the underside so that the coolant would use both sides of the res.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards, Marco

Have you sealed the reservoir after you filled it?

If so you will need to leave it open to allow the water to flow (you can reseal it once the loop is primed)

I'm at a total loss. I just disconnected the res from my loop, stuck it on my desk and just ran a hose from 'out' to 'in' on the res. As soon as i switched it on, the pump kicked into action and started flooding into the hose. So the pump/res is working just fine.

Earlier post of my loop diagram - http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18680474

When I connect it back into my loop, same problem. The coolant doesn't move. Should I leave it running for a while?

It goes from the res to a Magicool G2 Slim Radiator (240mm), and to a 'Y' joint I have setup with a drain valve. It reaches that ok, but it doesn't reach the GPU waterblock at all. I can see no blockages.

I am leaving both fill ports open as suggested.

I have no gaming rig :-(

Have you filled the res, put your cap on and tilted the case back, it should empty out then do this a few more times.

Also are you running your pump at full speed?

My pump has two connectors. A 4-pin molex, and a 3 pin (looks like a fan connector).

I only had the molex connected. So not sure what speed the pump was going at.

I will try tipping the case.

Molex connection will mean it's on full speed. Fill and tip till fluid starts going around.
