Hey geys,

changing the colour of my water cooling stuff soon and going red and black (Original) Just becuase o' my motherboard i'm getting.

But i'm stuck between getting clear hose and red coolant or just red or black solid colour hose.

I've been distilled water + silver kill coil since I started WC'ing and have never dealt wtih coolant so I have a few questions if you don't mind.

Is there any makes to stay away from?
Do I need something to kill algae like silver kill coil still?
Do I need a regular clean out becuase coolant can block?

Thanks in advance

Hi, if you mean a pre-mix coolent, Thermochill EC6 Clear is very good, my loop has had it in a year now and its still clear as the day l filled the loop. I changed a couple of fittings on the CPU block which is copper and there was no tarnishing at all inside, my GPU block is actel+nickel as well so mixing your block metals is ok. :)

No silver coil is needed.

EC6 Clear change every 2 years.

I have used Fezer One Blue for the last 4 years and had zero issues. Fit and forget. Goes in clear and comes out clear. Highly recommended for hassle free cooling.

If your going for nickel EK blocks at all - EC6 is the recommended solution. You don't need to worry about algae nor anti-corrosion protection as it has it all ;)

Its what I'm using

De ionised is not a good idea as it tries to re ionise in the loop.
Distilled is a way better way to go mate.

I'm having 2 seperate loops so might have feser one

I just drain it and change it fairly regularly, easy to do and keeps everything clean and happy. All fluids will eventually become conductive anyway.
