im not sure whether im just obesssing but atm my temps in my pc are hitting around the 50 mark with no over clocking.

i no this is not particularly high but i am planning to overclock, not mega just up to like 3.4 something like that.

at the moment i have two apache fans 1 on the front as a intake and 1 on the rear as an exhast and the stock i5 cooler.

i would like the make my core temps coooler so i can over clock etc, while also reducing the overall temp for all compents in general.

the case i have is a coolmaster

i have around a £50 budget for the cpu cooler with some fans( if there is any space to fit them!!).

im also intrested in a GPU cooler for my 5770 if one exsists? couldnt seem to find one ( this is not inc in the £50 ) would spend addtional (20-30 quid for a GPU cooler if any can find one)

thanks all

silent

If its 50 under load then you have a fair amount of headroom for an overclock, 70 or under is a safe limit while running something like OCCT to stress the CPU.

If you are after a nice cooler, theres plenty of reviews on here from people, the general concencus is the best cooler for air go for the megahalem or true coolers, also the corsair h50 is a simple and very effective watercooler for the money, all can be found around £50 I think.

For the 5770 there doesnt seem to be many aftermarket coolers available due to the die being quite close to the rear plate, Iv popped on a waterblock after failing to find a suitable air cooler that would definatly fit, although someone else on here may know better ;) Something to take note of, the origional cooler that I had fitted never had any issues with high temps and was always near silent, overclocking with a waterblock on gave me an extra 50-60mhz, which amounts to probably 1fps :( with the standard cooler 1ghz cpu was a breeze using the msi afterburner app.
