Consider me a complete novice at pc building. I had a little dabble in it when I was younger so I know what goes where but I'm clearly missing something here.
I bought a gigabyte b450m gaming motherboard and a ryzen 5 2600. I checked ************ and there should be no comparability issues but the heat sink and cooler it came with has springs holding the screws up far too high to reach the screw holes. The holder that comes with the mobo didn't had clips that had nowhere to latch onto on the cooler so I took them off.
