cooler for cm scout case

Can anybody with a coolermaster scout case recommend a good cpu cooler for it? one that fits?

I saw a youtube video where a guy had a coolermaster v10 in it... so i recon you could probably fit most cpu coolers in there.

thanks for the reply, I have a coolermaster v8 that doesn't fit, and heard some bad reviews of the v10, so Im not sure whether to buy any coolermaster stuff again.

Mate I'm pretty sure the V8 WILL fitt.

it hits the top fan, anything that extends past the edge of the motherboard will hit the top fan, theres about 2-4mm clearance

Hum, possible hes taken the top the fan out in that build I linked to I spose.
Anyways, the Noctua NH-U12P definatly fits in there and is a stonking cooler to boot.

Oh hang on a min, what Motherboard are you using?
Is it an AMD by any chance?

no its an asus p5n-d from overclockers.

I think maybe the cpu socket on the motherboard in that vid is lower down.

That paintjob is horrendous!!

Yeh, the socket on the i7's is lower down, thats why

In which case im not sure of the Noctua would fit for you either.

i sent coolermaster an email offering to send back my v8, boxed and with a reciept, and for them to send my a cooler that fits. They haven't replied yet.

I hope their testing what does and doesn't fit, i think they may have just deleted the email!
