Ive just pressed the button on a new Ryzen 5800x, and so I need a cooler for it.

Any suggestions for coolers? Ive seen ones on the site from Scythe, Artic and Corsair for between £35-50.
Are they decent enough to play about with a bit of modest overclocking or do i need to spend a bit more and dip my toe into the AIO world. Any recommendations in this area without spending silly money

Cheers

I saw that one, I was tempted along with the Arctic Freezer 34. In the end I have decided to give an AIO Cooler a go, and have gone for an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 which seems to have good reviews, etc and reasonable price. Hopefully will be fairly straightforward to install!

If you tell us your case CPU clearance, motherboard and RAM we can suggest coolers that will fit as well as be in your price range. ;)

for the best results with ryzen you'll be wanting water either AIO or custom. I also wouldn't bother with traditional overclocking but to optimise your PBO settings. liquid freezer 280 or 360mm
