Hi,

I have a Cooler Master 101 case which is around 5 years old.
I'm planning on buying a new mobo, CPU, HD etc and was wondering if the new style boards will fit in the old case?

I know I'll need to buy a new PSU to support SATA etc

Thanks :)

I have a 101, everything will fit fine :)

I was thinking of modding it but couldent bring myself to cut it up.

Good to see there's still a few people running old cases - I still run a CM201 myself. Best advice i can give you is to check check and check again heatsink dimensions. some of the latest, largest heatsinks won't fit. not sure on the dimensions of your 101, but AFAIK the enzotech ultra heatsink fits in my 201. might be a wise idea to check the dimensions of your graphics card and psu as well - some are a bit larger than they used to be.

just check your dimensions. motherboard fit = shouldn't be an issue.

I have a 101 and large Heatsinks like the Thermalright ultra extreme 120 and tuniq tower will not fit.

I went for the zalman 9700 in the end and that fits fine.

Be warned though.
