Hello

I have bought a new PSU but the ATX connector wont fit under the RAM heatsync on my V10 cooler.

Only solution is to replace it, with something more space efficient.

what would be a good replacement, Silver Arrow?

Thanks in advance

Jon

the difference is the new one has capcitors around the connector meaning that the end cannot flex, I hadn't seen a powersupply with that before so hadn't considered it, when ordering PSU.

the previous one is just cables so is reasonably flexible so it fits.

the New PSU is a OCZ ZX series 1250w

What are you running that needs a 1250W PSU?

Anyhow, I would think any cooler you want would be OK.

I can't see any other coolers stocked by OcUK that would come anywhere near the power connector assuming it's in the normal place on the edge of the motherboard.

Yeh I have decided to get an extejder for it which will make it more flexibl, as suggested by another forum member. Thanks for the advice I probably will be looking to replace ilver my cooler around BD release anyway as it is just so awkward in many ways, gives them some time to release a black version of silver arrow to fit in with my cosmos pure and crosshair V.

In answer to the PSU wattage question, I honestly don't need anything near that, yet.

I plan on going tri SLI/Crossfire in future and this has the power to do this and I was drawn in by a sale

again I apologise replying via phone

and thank you for the responses :D

Not only are there capacitors but the wire used in the 24pin and 4+4pin motherboard connectors are thicker than normal for all the ZX series PSU's

Yeh the cables are nice and hefty, I think somewhere before I bought it, it said that they used higher gauge cables then normal but I hadn't considered the need for flexiblity My V10 must be the only situation where thats needed.

The Conectors and cables do seem to be finished to a good quality :D
