Cooler Master V8

Hi peeps,

I bought (from overclockers.co.uk) a cooler master v8, which arrived today! It is an absolute beast!!!!

Installed it which wasnt too difficult, although it was a bit fiddley when i re-connected all the cables.

Got everything set as standard at the mo but the cooler has shaved off 12/13 degrees off the stock amd cooler, so its now around 24 degrees and a lot quieter!!

does anyone know why when i turn the fan up to high it doesnt actually make any difference to the temperatures???

Could be that your ambient temp is as close as it can be to your CPU temp

I wouldn't worry about it if it is truly 24 degrees.

yer thats around what its saying on coretemp! but like u say at that temp theres no need to worry..

do you know if the x2s have a limit on the clocking.. i cant seem to get passed 3ghz before it locks up! seems pretty stable around 3ghz tho using the asus turbov program..

Sorry I don't know much about AMD overclocking. A quick search on Google shows some getting up to 3.5Ghz though. Maybe someone on here can help more.
