I just tried fitting a OCZ vendetta cooler to my board. Due to the layout of my case (no I am not going to remove mobo) I could not get my fingers under the cooler / fan to push the pins down to lock. The original core 2 duo cooler has the pins outside the heatsink. So its easy.

Does anyone have experience of a cooler with the pins easily accessible?

I have looked online but cannot always tell if the push pins are exposed outside the heatsink and fan combo,

Any suggestions?

The Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro is sooooo easy, IF you take the fan off before you fit it.

If I take the fan off I presume it is easy just to clip on once pins are pushed down on heatsink? I presume with fan off pins are full exposed like the stock cooler?
Sorry for questions but I took the fan off the vendetta but it needed 4 grommets putting back on to attach the fan which I could not do in case!

Yes, it's just two clips.

Yes.

Yes, but eventually you learn that it's better to just pull the motherboard and fit a proper cooler;)
