Hi,

Running a MSI P4N Diamond with a P4(660) 3.6 and am looking to reduce noise and increase temps. Have already replaced my old X800gto with a X1950 pro with a Zalman cooler, the stock intel cooler with a Zalman CPNS9500 and the power supply to an Enermax 500w Liberty.

Am now looking to replace the stock Northbridge cooler to a Zalman ZM-NB47J Northbridge Cooler - does anybody run this and will there be a noticable difference.

Am also looking to replace the stock Coolermaster rear fan but am unsure as to which model - would any one have any suggestions and do i need a 3 pin or 4 pin model?

Many thanks

80 or 120mm fan? The Akasa ambers are good for cfm/noise/money.
The noctua's are getting good reviews for cfm/noise.
The acoustifan I got is v quiet for an 80mm.
Most come with adapters so you can use either 3 or 4 pin. 3 pin only necessary it you want to monitor rpm or use header on mobo other wise 4 pin is ok.

Thanks.

Have ordered
1 - Noctua NF-S12 1200RPM 120mm Silent Case Fan - 3 Pin
1 - Zalman ZM-NB47J Northbridge Cooler
1 - Arctic Cooling MX-1 Thermal Compound
1 - Xilence XPF80R Red Wing 80mm Quiet Fan

Hope these help with the noise and increase airflow.

On another note have installed Everest monitoring and was wondering just how reliable for giving accurate temps it is?

Cheers

everest is a great app, temps are most accurate in Intel TAT though, if you find everest is close to the same temp for you just switch to that for future use.
