Cooler to Replace i5-3570k Stock Heatsink/Fan

I've just built a new PC with the i5-3570k but the stock cooler seems really noisy and is vibrating the case.

What cooler am I best to go for? It's built in the Cooler Master Elite 310 Case and the manual says the CPU cooler must *not* be higher than 150mm... all the decent reviewed coolers seem to be over 150mm. Really highly reviewed one is 153mm, doh! (Gelid Tranquillo CPU Cooler)

Any advice?

CPU cooler height: 167mm / 6.6 inch

unless the foam is 14mm thick! but i guess if it is, im sure 3mm wont make much of a difference if it can be squashed a little

Sorry, forgot to mention budget, it was around £30.

That's weird :/ just double checked the manual and it definitely says 150mm. Will have to just measure it myself to be sure.

Change of plan now though! Investigated a bit more and it's actually the 2tb hard drive making the noise (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-077-HI)... it's insanely loud though! Literally vibrates the entire case constantly! Not sure what to do with it now though...

lol u sure its not the dvd-rom drive? thats much more likely

It's just a secondary drive, so I took the power out and the noise disappeared almost completely, can't even tell the PC's on unless I put my ear really close to it

How much does HDD vibrate if you hold hdd in your hand and power it up?

HDDs become the loudest thing in quiet cases... sometimes even when vibration mounted... or it might be defective... as in out of balance.
