Alright Guys,

Got my new build up and running, but only on stock cooler at the moment.

i5-2500k processor.

Looking for something quiet and not too expensive that will bring my temp down a few degrees.

Suggestions please:D?

im open to suggestions really, if its well justified then i'll go for it.

looking to OC the processor as well if this is any help.

have just instaled a coolermaster v8 in a antec 900, its keeping my 720be @3.33 1.45v 7c above ambient idle and 20c above on load.
a very big cooler but worth it if you can fit it in your case. quiet aswell.

I have the Gelid Tranquillo http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-001-GD on my i5-2500k with Asus P8P67. Very quite and currently +17 ambient idle and +35 ambient under load.

The Titan Fenrir is the next step up. Overclockers only have B-Grade I think. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BG-000-TI

A step down would be the Hyper 212, slightly poorer cooling and noisier but cheaper. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-029-CM There is also the suggestion that a second fan http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-010-CM&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=4 on this would give better cooling than the Tranquillo, but with the associated increase in noise.

Another vote for the Gelid Tranquillo here - well impressed with it on my i5 2500K!!! (although not as good as the above post temperature-wise!!)

But then I'm not the best at the whole thermal paste thing!
