I`ve been persuaded to get the CM690 rather then Antec 900, but how many and what type of fans do you need to add to it to get it as good as the 900 for cooling.

I would like to know too. Stuck between the cm690 and Antec 300.

From what I`ve read it has 3 x 120mm fans and you can have up to 7, I have mine on order but I might order some 120mm fans to go with it, I take it they just connect to the motherboard via 3pin connector.

EDIT: The side panel has two 120mm fan mounts, one pointing towards the CPU and the other towards your graphics card. The front of the case is a large piece of metal mesh with a 120mm intake fan, while the top of the case is also airflow-friendly mesh for the two 120mm fan mounts in the roof. There's a 120mm exhaust fan, plus another 120mm mount in the floor of the case. Finally, the CM690 has an 80mm vent to cool the rear of the motherboard, behind the CPU.

Decided to go for the Antec 900, reason becuase the CM690 is much cheaper then the 900 in the states about the same as a 300 and for the price its better then the 300 and 900, in UK its only slightly less then the 900 and doesn't have a window or 200mm fan, so the 900 has poor cable management and gets a bit dusty but its probably a better case build quality wise + it has a 200mm fan. I`d rather get my moneys worth the Antec is an expensive case but I`m paying nearly the same for a CM690.

well ive just got the case , there are 3 fans thats u get with it 1 x 120ML LED fan on the front and 2 x 120ML stadard collermaster fans , then i baught 3 x 120ML LED fans as there was 3 more fan slots , over all really nice sleek unique case :) 10/10

Its a great case but I`m not sure its as well built as an Antec, a lot of people recommend the CM690 becuase its far cheaper then an Antec in the USA making it a very good case for the money better then Antec 300 & 900 for the price, it should be no more then £ 40 ex VAT in UK really but the price at my supplier was £ 48.99 ex VAT and a Antec 900 is only £ 55.83 + has 1 extra fan as standard and a window. The 900's cable management is not as good, gets dusty and is a bit cramped but is a quality case thats why its so expensive. Basically the CM690 was released as a cheaper alternative to the 900 so Antec brought out the 300 to compete with the CM690 at similar price, but the CM690 is overpriced in UK IMO as its a lot more then the 300 where I look. The 900 is just a cut above both the CM690/300 in terms of styling, and if all 3 were the same price the 900 wins everytime. If you want to save money get the 300 but don't buy a CM690 at near the same price as a 900.
