Hello, im currently going to go and buy a coolermaster 932 haf soon and do a few things to it. After crimbo, i am planning on getting a new build which will involve this case. I'm going to go with a black and red theme, so the things i want to know/do about the case;

I want to paint it black, so could i sand it down abit and just spray it as its still together (not taking apart) can i do tht or do i have to take revits out etc?

I believe there is a 140mm exhaust fan that you get with the case, is it possible to change and put a 120mm fan with no problems?

Also, the fans that is already in the case, are they 3 pin or molex because i want to get a fan controller?

Please help and thanks

With like almost every case out there you have to drill out rivets to totally disassemble the case, on the back there is mounting holes for both 140mm fans and 120mm fans, the front and top fans are 4pin and the side and back are 3 pin, you really don't need to slow the 240mm fans down though as they only run at 600rpm as standard and and near silent.

cheers bud thanks a lot, but i dont want to dismantle it as it would take ages to do lol, plus knowing me ill forget where goes where lol, couldnt i just take the plastic off tape up etc and do it the way it is?

dont think of it as hassle... think of it as a process to perfection :)

If the haf 932 was black inside it would be perfect, as is... when i buy mine ill get my father to freebie powdercoat it lol

You can get the inside of a case powdercoated for £60 odd and they take apart and rebuild it for that price.

I got 2 whole colours done for £20, check my thread out "project orange" to see the amount of work done etc.
Add another £15 for Rivets and a Rivet tool, but these last forevor.
Imo take it apart yourself its way more satisfying when your done.

You will be able to do a far better job with the case apart than in on bit,for one you may not sand it down as well and there is a fair chance you will get more dust on the surface but hey in the end it`s up to you,ive done both and learned from my mistake. :)
