hey. I've been looking at a couple of cases and i was wondering if my mobo (ASUS P5N32-E) is compatible with this case. I ask this because i've seen a few cases and it states that it only supports up to Pentium 4 which is kinda weird i thought........

SO opinions any1? i'm gonna stick a core 2 duo and a geforce 8800 gts in this

ATX is ATX, there isn't a specific format for each processor, motherboard fittings are a standard.

There are a few reasons why cases specify up to xxx, because that was the latest on the market when the case was released, because the PSU included can support (has the connectors) for that processors boards and another common one, the Intel thermal design guide for Pentium 4s that cases OEMs sell with those CPUs are supposed/recommended to adhere to.

Part of the reason for that (Intel thermal design guide) being developed are the power hungry, oven like properties of the (Pentium 4) Prescott core and if the case can support that you aren't going to have a problem with a Core 2. The rest of the hotspots in the system (graphics card, northbridge, hard drives etc) are another matter.

;) I'd be more concerned with the graphics card than the CPU, the 8800 series cards are pretty long and hard drives (or cage they are housed in) can get in the way on some cases.

Dont worry about the CM Centurian 5, it'll take whatever ATX board you have. I like the case, but it does attract dust. Here's mine, I could have spent 5 seconds wiping it clean & letting you see it at it's best, but here's how it looks after a couple of weeks of unattended work.

Notice the square of dust around the power button area. There is an intake fan behind this area.

Thats nothing compared to my centurion 5 :p :p :p

I clean it out so much too but it keeps gathering dust. Love the clean/basic look of this case.
