Coolermaster CM-690 II Advanced

To the OP. Your case is looking great! Easy to cable manage isnt it? I am in the process of "blinging" up my case but I cant decide if I want to go LED lighting or cathods...

Yes the cable managment is great. I'm really like the case overall. I'm even thinking of moving it up of the floor so I can see it better lol :D Yes ok I'm that sad :p

setup looks good, does anyone know where to get the windowed side panel for this, is it available here at OCUK? Wanna get the case soon

You can get it from the offical coolermaster store. I cant link here as its against rules, but its easy to find. I personally dont like the window panel from them as it has an ugly fan hole on it, but you might like it more.

was quite lucky i think got my 690 II ages ago now, plumped for the advanced side window edition, glad i did haven't seen it stocked anywhere in quite a while.

it does look better in person now that i've done a lot of cable management. my only gripe is there could be more room behind the rear panel for routing.

I have the CM690II advanced side windows edition, good case. Only little moan i have about it is the CPU cooler backplate could have done with a bigger cut out.

Fantastic job on your cable tidy by the way looks very neat.

yeah i'd agree with the cut out comment mines partially obscured, which means i'm gonna have to drag the entire thing apart when i finally get a h50.

Would it be possible to get a video up of the front panel working? I have always wondered about there functionality but you can never tell from images.

Got my 690 II yesterday and having a good look at it just now.

My intended build will mean a Corsair Hydro H50 radiator and fan in the spare top fan spot and as that'll be intake I want to change the other fan to intake as well (as far as I'm aware that one is currently outlet).

I was just looking at how I could get access, sod the installation guild leaflet :D, and couldn't see a way to get to the fan. After 10 mins of frustration I decided the installation guide might help me so read that. Of course that told me what I needed to know.

The only problem is on the "back" side the gap between the chassis and the top to get to the middle clip is very small and unclipping it was a challenge. The Chinese children who make this case would find it easy.

It really is a nice case and when I do my build I hope I can utilise the cable management at least half as well as some people have on these forums.

bought this case for my first build could not be more happy :) great for everything, could anyone reccomend any good mods for it?

Here's a build that I've just finished building for a friend. GTX 460, Asus P7P55D Pro, i5 760 running at 4.1GHz, couple of Samsung Spinpoints (F3 500GB and F4EG 2TB), and a CM Hyper 212 Plus.

Apologies in advance for the quality of the pictures, iPod touch 4G camera :S

Overall, really great case. I was wanting a Lian Li PC-7FN...but the price of this, along with quality, which is in a different league to my CM690, has made me decide to get this for my next build instead.

Heh! Its a great case. I need to redo my cabling again I think. It will be the 4th/5th time I have recabled it as I keep noticing better ways to go about it. Just bought myself some NZXT cables too, so they are in now but not tidy. Looks better already though! :D
