Calling all CM690 owners.

I have a low profile (15mm) 80mm fan to go on the side, under the mobo, but for the life of me i cannot figure out how to fit it.
Can anyone help?
Its a standard 'shape' fan, not specifically Coolermaster's own.
The grill has one bracket with 2 screws, i just can't understand how it goes in.
Also, for those who do have it fitted........does it make a difference to temps?
I love the CM690 case, i have 1 x front intake led 120mm, 2 x side panel 120mm intakes, 1 x top 120m exhaust, 1 x rear 120mm exhaust.
I DID have an Arctic Freezer Pro 7 cooling my Q9550 the fan was positioned toward the front of the case. But when i was cable tidying one of the pins broke, so i've replaced it with the intel stock high profile cooler.
I've not powered the pc up since this then, but with the freezer pro, my temps were a little erratic across all 4 cores, ranging from approx. 35°C (lowest core temp) idle to approx. 55° load. But there may have been 10°C difference between core 1 and say core 3 for example, at idle or load.

Any comments from owners regarding my situation please?

:)

undo the screws on the bracket, slide the bottom of the fans corners into the two sockets on the mobo tray, then place the bracket over the other two corners and screw back on.

The bracket has 2 little hooks in it which fit perfectly into the screw holes of the fan, but that would then mean that the bracket is sitting on top of the fan and would then require 2 screws at least 15mm long (depth of fan) to screw into the mobo plate. The ones supplied aint 15mm long.
Also sliding the corners into the sockets on the opposite ends to the bracket, leaves them a little...err....unsecure?

Still don't get it.

Any chance you have a pic that could enlighten me further please?
The coolermaster website shows a clear plastic fan, which isn't good enough quality for me to see how its done.

No, it has the bee-hive kind of mesh grill, but the holes are hexagonal, not round. The bracket must obviously be used somehow, i just can't figure it. Maybe it has to be a specifically shaped 15mm fan, i dunno.
