Coolermaster cm690 II please help?

OK Ive changed my mind on a few GPU's over the last few days.
I have my eye on an ASUS HD6950 2GB DirectCU II
Problem is its 29.2cm long which is 1.8cm longer than the reference card.

I need to know if I will have any problems fitting it in a Coolermaster CM 690 II lite?

I have a 570 in my 690II and fits no problem, so I guess yours will aswell.

Plus some of the hard drive bays are removable leaving you with even more room.

And the case is out of stock now, only the Advanced version is in stock.

Nice find matey, However it only allows removal of the bottom section to fit base fans. should be OK if spec measurements are right I have about 10mm to spare.

I did speak to a chap at overclockers on thursday said should have some i5's in on Tuesday. The case could be a problem though as I was advised by them to get this one because the HAF was out of stock. Over the last few days it has sold out...

Hope they can sort something for me.

I went for the gigabyte mobo because of the sata ports, I may need to use 90 angled cables due to the size of the card, so the side by side configuration would be better than one above the other.

Well, good luck buying everything, the parts are all good and fit etc.

One last piece of advice is the size and weight of that card, the rear of it nearer the HDD bays may have a slight sag because of its weight in the slot. Someone on these forums has already posted a picture of theirs, and its got a slight bend in it.

Something like this - http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/acc/065/slotrafter_detail.html or a piece of string etc can pull it up at the end.
