Hi all!

I am currently pricing up a system based on an Asus Z77 Maximus V Gene http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-516-AS motherboard and hoping to fit it along with a water cooling kit into my existing Coolermaster cmstacker 830 case. I was looking at this kit http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-172-EK&groupid=962&catid=1532&subcat= as I plan to water cool the cpu, a graphics card and possibly a second in SLI. My main concern is fitting the radiator in the top of the case as this is better than the bottom yes? Is a kit the best way of going, or am I better off buying individual parts instead? Would you guys mind helping a complete and utter novice in this matter? Thanks again
 
Read the stickies. With watercooling you generally don't just buy a random bunch of bits. You tend to do a LOT of research first before you start.
 
takes some research like said above and go what best suits your budget if you make a list of parts and ask for it to be checked ppl with experiance will help you out

I replaced that case with an Obsidian 800D last June, and moved onto watercooling a 12gb i2600k / 6970 setup. My CM case pictured was just awful for a WC setup as it was built really during the 'fan cooling' era.

If you do have the same case you'd have to either mod it heavily, especially the top panel (for a rad) or get a new case.

Take your time when it comes to getting your first WC setup going. It took me a solid 2 months of reading/research before I went out and bought my bits last year.

I was gutted to get rid of mine. Sold it for £50 iirc and was just upset to say goodbye to it after a number of years. It is built much more better than my present flimsy Obsidian 800D but it (the CM) just lacks any room for a triple rad. I had considered running the rads outside the case but that felt too wrong.

The 800D has enough room to fit a CAT in it. It isn't the best looking of cases but it is built for WC'ing.
